Angel Paws
Our Heart

Who We Are

Angel Paws exists to bring comfort, encouragement, and connection through therapy dogs.

We serve in places where people are often facing stress, uncertainty, or difficult circumstances. Hospitals, schools, and care environments where even a small moment of calm can mean a lot.

Our visiting teams are trained handlers and their dogs who give their time to simply be present. No pressure. No expectations.

Just a calm, steady presence when it's needed most.

Our Mission & Beliefs

Guided by faith, led by compassion, and sustained by the simple wag of a tail.

Christ-Centered Mission

We serve to share the love of Jesus with gentleness, humility, and compassion in every visit.

Compassion in Action

Therapy dogs help people feel seen and safe. We use that open door to bring encouragement, hope, and meaningful connection.

Biblical Foundation

Scripture guides our convictions, our character, and the way we care for people of every age and background.

Safety & Stewardship

We require training, temperament screening, and health standards so each team serves with professionalism and trust.

What Makes Therapy Dogs Different

Therapy dogs are not service animals trained for one individual.

They are trained to interact with many people, offering comfort, companionship, and emotional support in a variety of environments.

They don't judge.

They don't rush.

They don't interrupt.

They just show up, and that's often enough.

The Journey

Our Story

The Seed of Hope

In 2014, after receiving life-changing medical news, our founder began searching for hope and found both a church family and a renewed calling in Christ. Soon after, she witnessed how therapy-dog visits shifted hospital rooms from fear and isolation to calm conversation and comfort.

Helping the Hurting

Angel Paws began in 2017 as a small church-based ministry and grew as requests for visits increased across Houston. We served schools, colleges, assisted living communities, hospitals, and crisis-impacted communities, and saw God open doors far beyond what our early team could have imagined.

Looking Forward

Today, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry, we continue to equip handlers and therapy dogs to serve with excellence, humility, and compassion. Our prayer is simple: to keep sharing the love of Jesus through the steady comfort our pets bring to every place we are invited.

It's hard to explain, but easy to feel.
